    Hosted by Hokkaido University and Hokkaido Newspaper Media, Japan, and the UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management, USA, this inaugural international conference in Sapporo explores the dynamic connections between destinations, events, and sports. Sapporo, known for hosting the 1972 Winter Olympics, offers a vibrant setting with diverse activities and cultural experiences. The conference will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, and unique social programs, including pre-and post-conference tours. Submissions from various academic disciplines are encouraged to expand knowledge and engage participants from academia, industry, and government.   • The 21st Asia Pacific Forum for Graduate Students Research in Tourism

    The APF fosters the exchange of knowledge, encourages interdisciplinary collaboration, and addresses the latest trends and challenges within the Asia Pacific region and beyond. The 21st APF, organised by the SHTM, will be held from 14 to 16 May 2025 in Hong Kong. Authors are invited to submit completed research or work in progress that spans the diverse range of tourism and hospitality studies. The Forum is open to contributions that explore current issues in tourism and hospitality research and education, and other multidisciplinary topics related to industry practices.

    The two-day Mediterranean Tourism Knowledge Exchange and Policy Forum will bring together researchers and policymakers to exchange news, views and research findings. It will empower Mediterranean Tourism regional and economic development, policy and planning, through evidence-based practice. The Forum supports tourism and hospitality organisations and destinations to develop their competitiveness and become more sustainable, attractive and competitive. Regenerative tourism should actively regenerate, revitalize and positively impact both the environment and local communities, making destinations more attractive for both visitors and local residents. Creating mutually beneficial relationships between tourists, communities and the environment, tourism should ensure that all parties co-create value and benefit from the experience.

To embrace such changes, IMPACT2025 addresses the theme of “Transforming Hospitality and Tourism for Sustainable Future”, aiming to serve as a platform for industry executives, government officials and academics to interact on transformational trends and insights, to share research findings and practices, to explore creative pathways, and to envisage strategies to the end of capitalizing on transformation for evidence-based education, research and industry practices.
