The “INTOCUS: Tourism and Cultural Heritage: Resilience, Sustainability and Transformation” conference will be co-hosted by Harokopio University (GR), Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (FR) and University of The Aegean (GR). The conference aims to explore the tension between the "old world" and the necessity to create new paradigms at the interface and intersections of tourism and heritage. Despite decades of sustainability discourses and practices, there is still a struggle to implement new management models. The conference seeks to address the governance models required for sustainable tourism development in synergy with heritage and culture. It also aims to identify the changing industry models necessary for the re-invention of tourism.
